Top health official takes a not so healthy plunge in DC ‘s Rock Creek
THE BUZZ!
Ok, get this. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just posted photos of himself swimming in Rock Creek in D.C. The problem with that is, swimming there is totally banned because of dangerous bacteria levels. To make it even crazier, he brought his family along for some bacteria splashing fun.
He shared the pics on social media and was seen smiling for the camera. Now here’s the kicker, he’s the nation’s top health official. And swimming in water full of bacteria just does not send a good message to the public.
The National Park Service clearly states: no swimming or wading in Rock Creek. It’s not safe for people or for pets. But maybe RFK Jr. and his family are neither.
I just hope others don’t follow his lead. Reminds me of the scene in the move vacation when the family went for a dip in the hot springs and it turned out to be a nuclear waste fill.
Maybe they’ll get some cool superpowers or something.
