THE BUZZ!

Motown legend Smokey Robinson is making headlines, and not for his music.

Four Hispanic women who worked as housekeepers for Smokey and his wife, Frances Robinson, just filed a major lawsuit in Los Angeles. They’re accusing him of alleged sexual battery, assault, and creating a hostile work environment.

The women, listed as Jane Does, say they were mistreated while working at Smokey’s home in Chatsworth, California. And get this: the accusations go back as far as 2006 and as recently as April 2024. They claim the behavior included unwanted touching, harassment, and in one case, rape. They also say Frances Robinson allegedly didn’t step in to stop it. One woman even claims Frances screamed at her and used racial slurs.

The women say they stayed quiet for years out of fear. They were afraid of losing their jobs and worried about public shame. Now they’re speaking up, asking for at least $50 million in damages and pushing for a jury trial.

The Robinson’s have not commented on the claims as of yet.

Hopefully he doesn’t need a pocket full of miracles for this.
