So someone else that is speaking out is Mo’Nique.

It seems that after watching Tyler Perry speak at Angie Stone’s funeral about how the music industry mistreated her, she took to Instagram to call out some major double standards. in an open letter to Tyler she reminded him that back in 2016, he promised her a public apology for calling her “difficult to work with,” even though they never actually worked together. She says that false label blackballed her and cost her millions. So now she’s asking, where’s her apology? And where’s the same energy for her that he had for Angie?

Mo’Nique also pointed out that Perry criticized the industry for not paying Angie what she was owed—but then asked her to promote Precious for free.

She closed the letter with, I hope your words at Angie’s funeral inspire you to correct the wrongs done to my family and me. You have the power to do so. As you’ve shared biblical teachings, please remember: “What will it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul” (Mark 8:36). We await your response. With love and respect,

So, will Tyler respond to this. Maybe we will get to see Mo’Nique in a Tyler Perry production very soon in a role she will be paid very well for. Maybe!
