USPS worker stole $1.6 million in checks from mail, spent it on luxury hotels and ‘gentlemen’s clubs’
This is the tale of a Washington, D.C. postal worker who traded mailbags for big money, but now he’s trading it all for prison time.
At 44 years old, he wasn’t just delivering mail—he was stealing over $1.6 million in checks and depositing them into his own accounts. And what did he do with all that cash? Oh, he lived it UP! We’re talking luxury vacations, five-star hotels, and even splurging at gentlemen’s clubs.. But his luck ran out when bank cameras caught him red-handed.
He was convicted on multiple charges, including conspiring to steal mail and commit bank fraud, mail theft, bank fraud, and illegally conducting financial transactions with stolen funds. He now faces up to 30 years behind bars for bank fraud and an additional five years for mail theft
On top of that, he was also found guilty of lying on his citizenship application. Claiming he had never committed any crimes when applying for naturalization.
