THE BUZZ!

Air fryers confirmed as least polluting cooking method

Okay, let’s talk about air fryers and why they’re more than just a kitchen gadget. They’re also indoor air superheroes! A new study from the University of Birmingham just dropped some amazing news: air frying produces WAY less indoor air pollution compared to traditional cooking methods like pan or deep frying.
Evidently: cooking, in general, is a big source of indoor air pollution, which can lead to health problems like respiratory, cardiovascular, or even neurodegenerative diseases. Yikes, right? Since most of us spend 80% of our time indoors, this is a big deal!

The researchers tested five cooking methods (pan frying, stir-frying, deep frying, boiling, and air frying) in a controlled kitchen to see how much pollution they created. The results? Air fryers crushed it!
They claim that even after cooking, pollution from frying methods lingered in the air for over an hour.
So next time you dropped somethin in that air fryer. Know that you are also being environmentally responsible.
