Russia fines Google $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
Get ready for a number so big, it’ll blow your mind.
A wild legal battle is brewing between Google and Russia. It seems the Kremlin is demanding a mind-boggling amount of money from the tech giant. We’re talking about a number so big, it’s almost impossible to comprehend. How about 2 undecillion rubles. That’s a 2, followed by 36 zeros. Wow!
That amounts to $20 decillion, or around $20 billion trillion trillion. Which is way more than the entire global economy. Crazy!
Well all this happened allegedly because Google removed Russian state-run and pro-government channels from YouTube. And the legal battle began.
A Russian court embarked a fine on Google after requesting they restore those removed You Tube Channels or face hefty charges that double each week with penalties.
The staggering amount is actually more money than the world’s total GDP, estimated at $110 trillion by the International Monetary Fund.
Keep in mind also Google’s parent company Alphabet has a market value of around $2 trillion. So yeah, it might take some time to pay that bill off.
36 zeros. I just imagined checking my bank account and seeing 20 Billion Trillion Trillion dollars.
Nice!
